Whale Shark Safari

Whale Shark Safari — A Once-in-a-Lifetime Experience

Description

Share this with your dive buddies

Join us on an incredible Safari to swim with the largest fish in the world—the majestic Whale Shark. Every year, these gentle giants migrate to the nutrient-rich waters of La Paz to feed on plankton. Though they can grow up to 40 feet long, they are known for their calm nature and are truly amazing to witness up close.

La Paz is one of the few places in the world where you can ethically swim with these incredible creatures. The community, local organizations, and government have worked together to create a sanctuary for whale sharks, ensuring that we can interact with them responsibly and respectfully.

Each year, juvenile whale sharks make their way to La Paz, offering us a rare opportunity to observe and swim alongside them. While much of their life remains a mystery, their presence here speaks volumes about the healthy ecosystem that has been preserved through conservation efforts.

NOTE:

Note: Whale shark season usually runs from November to March. The official opening depends on government monitoring and the number of whale sharks present in the bay, so dates may vary each year. Please enquire with us to confirm if the season is open for your dates.
