Espíritu Santo

Playful Encounters Await at Isla Espíritu Santo

Description

Join us for a unique adventure to Isla Espíritu Santo, one of the most beautiful islands in Baja California Sur. This protected island is home to the largest sea lion colony in the Gulf of California, and here you’ll have the incredible opportunity to swim with these playful, curious creatures in the crystal-clear waters.

Our certified guides, who have extensive experience in safe and respectful encounters with marine life, will accompany you throughout the day. Not only will they ensure a safe and enjoyable interaction with the sea lions, but they’ll also share fascinating insights into the island’s history and biodiversity. Espíritu Santo Island is not only a stunning natural wonder, but is also important historically.

After swimming with the sea lions, we’ll head to a beautiful beach where we’ll set up a picnic with fresh ceviche prepared by local fishermen. This is the perfect way to relax, enjoy a delicious meal, and take in the breathtaking scenery of one of Baja’s most stunning locations.

Please note that swimming with sea lions is not permitted from June 1st to August 31st due to their reproductive season. During these months, we still visit the colony by boat for respectful observation, but we do not enter the water with them.

Upon availability you might be joining a co-hosted trip with our La Paz Partners.
